I recently stayed at a charming shepherd's hut in Chester called Little Idyll. My sister and I enjoyed a wonderful, surprisingly spacious cabin with all the necessary appliances and a stunning view across the valley. The location felt like a secret garden, with ponds and hidden loops to explore. We were delighted by the close proximity to outstanding walks along bridleways and in Delamere Forest. The peace and natural beauty exceeded our already-high expectations, making for an excellent stay.
Would recommend this hotel.

We absolutely loved our stay at Little Idyll Shepherds Hut! The hut itself was beautifully decorated and had everything we needed, including all the necessary appliances. The spacious bathroom was a pleasant surprise. The location and view were truly exceptional. We were captivated by the breathtaking view of the opposing valley and the peaceful surroundings. The presence of horses in the adjoining field added a touch of magic to our mornings. The walks in Delamere Forest and along the Sandstone Trail, which were conveniently close to the cabin, offered stunning natural beauty. The tranquility and dark skies allowed us to have a sublime experience of the night sky. We felt like we were in a secret garden with the lovely ponds and hidden loops in the field. We were also touched by the warmth and care provided by William and his dog Fifi, who took the time to chat with us and even pointed out castles in the distance. The love and appreciation expressed in the comments book only confirmed how special this place truly is. We were sad to leave, but we will definitely be back! we highly recommend this delightful retreat.
Although the isolated location provided a sense of peace and quiet, it would have been nice to have a blind on the bathroom window for added privacy. Additionally, the lack of nearby shopping centers or fast food places meant that everything was around 20 miles away, which could be a downside.
